Do all products come with a Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)?

No. Since the PED is for the European market not all manufacturers have undergone the expense of obtaining the PED certification.

Do all products come with CRN’s?

No. The CRN is manufacturer-specific, and not all manufacturers have gone through the expense of obtaining the CRN for their company.

Why do I need a Canadian Registration Number (CRN)?

A Canadian Registration Number (CRN) is required for each jurisdiction/province where PVF equipment is used. The CRN is manufacturer-specific, and each manufacturer will have to submit their designs for approval.

What is a Non-Approved product?

A Non-Approved product has not made the Approved Manufacturer List and may not be suitable for some application requisites.

What is an Approved product?

An Approved product refers to approval for use based on the product meets all necessary regulatory approvals and specifications. Generally applicable to domestic US projects, the Approved Manufacturer List (AML) provides details.
