What is Casting?

Casting is the process of manufacturing where molten metal is poured into a mold where the liquid metal fills the cavities and solidifies into the final shape.

The mold can range from simple to very intricate. There are a wide range of casting techniques. Both Sand and Investment casting techniques are commonly used in the valve industry.
